KEY LARGO:
  • 38th annual Key Largo 4th of July Parade.  Themed "American Heroes", the parade will begin at 10 a.m. at MM 98 and go north to MM 100 at Waldorf Plaza. Want to have a float in the parade?  Contact (305) 852-3216 for more information.
  • Old-fashioned community picnic.  Activities will begin at 5 p.m. at the Murray Nelson Government Center, MM 102 in Key Largo, and continue until 8 p.m. Contact (305) 451-1414 for more information.
  • Fireworks on Blackwater Sound.  Located near MM 104, fireworks are planned over Blackwater Sound beginning at 10 p.m.
  • Pilot House Marina Restaurant and Glass Bottom Bar is offering Red, White & Blue cocktail specials from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and discounts to all veterans.
  • Big Chill invites you to come by boat or come by car.  Colbert band playing.  Special menu for the dining room and deck with 2 sittings, 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.  Fireworks show at 10:00 p.m.  Reservations (305) 453-9066.
  • Key Largo Bike & Adventure Tours is offering a bike and paddle board tour on Sugarloaf Key on July 6th.  Bikes, paddle boards and snacks included.  To register and for more information contact (305) 395-1551. 
  • Key Largo Marriott Bayside is having a huge cookout and you are invited.  Everything from burgers and wings to brownies and watermelon and so much more.  It will be held on the beach with entertainment and fireworks at 10 p.m.  Get your tickets in advance at the front desk.  Kickoff is 6:30 p.m.
  • July 19 - Ocean Life Lecture Series - Living with Coastal Hazards.  What impact do storms have on coastal areas?  Join Dr. Leatherman from 6-8 p.m. at the Murray Nelson Government Center to find out.305-396-7000 for more information.

ISLAMORADA:
  • July 4th fireworks and family fun.  Activities will be held at Founder Park at MM 87 Bayside from 6 p.m. to 9:30.  For more information contact (305) 853-1685.
  • July 18 - Morada Way art walk.  Held from 6-9 p.m. at MM 81.  Local artist paintings, pottery and live music.  Contact 305-664-9100.

MARATHON:
  • July 4th parade, beach party and fireworks.  Community parade begins around 10:30 a.m. beginning at Marathon High School, MM 50 and travels to Sombrero Beach.  Following the parade is a beach party at Sombrero Beach and concluding the day with a fireworks show.  Contact (305) 743-5417 for more information.
  • Sparky's Landing will be closed on July 4th so that their employees can enjoy the celebration. 

BIG PINE KEY:
  • July 4th fireworks.  Join in on the fun at Big Pine Park, MM 30, at the end of Sands Road.  Music, food, activities begin at 5 p.m. and fireworks around 9 p.m.  
  • July 13 - 29th annual Underwater Music Festival.  Divers and snorkelers take to the waters at Looe Key Reef for a zany good time. Music is broadcast underwater and you may even see and mermaid or sax player.
